Turning back on our selves we headed toward Deptford with a nice pitstop at the Royal George. We could be wrong but it seemed a bit of an out of the way place for a Sam Smiths pub. We were also a bit cautious as the SS pubs often have a poncy, tell you off vibe and have rules like you can’t look at your phone 🥱.
Board games and the like were available and whilst not what we’d normally do in the pub we thought we’d get with the local atmopshere and join in. Low and behold within 10 minutes we were told off by the barmaid for being too noisy over a game of snakes and ladders. Only the second time in sessions we’ve been told off (Shout out to the Sir Robert Peel in Walworth - RIP).
Other than being told off it seemed a nice enough pub but a little tame and straight for our liking. From the outside it looked fabulous, love the burgundy.
