Next up, very close to the Marquis was the Amersham Arms. From the outside it looks incredible with working neon Take Courage sign acting as a beacon for passing foot traffic.
Inside it was apparent this was more of a event venue than a traditional pub now, relatively small with all the large tables taken by single men on their own. Xmas decorations were up in November which might irk some people.
We didn’t take to the place and due to the lack of tables opted for a quick half before moving on. They only had 4 half pint glasses so the rest were in plastic cups. If your looking for a pint we’d opt for the Marquis over this.
