Within seconds we arrive at the next pub, on opposite sides of the square The Queens Head welcomes us in, and by gum, it was busy. A running theme in these east end watering holes and we loved it. We had to make do with the room at the back but we settled in with some table football and pints all round. Chelsea had been well a truly found out by this point as Liverpool were 3-0 up.
The place had been refurbished since any of us had been last and believe is now run by some of the old locals. It was doing well for itself and punter numbers attested to that. Mural of the queen and the UK coat of arms adorned the walls.
Conway made friends with some of the locals who wished us well as we left.
