The delightfully named Gertie Brownes was our final stop and it again had obviously had some recent renovations. The rear garden/smoking area was a beauty and inside they'd installed some kind of birds nest style ceiling feature with glowing LED lights. Heavenly.
Very modern inside and some extremely strict drug policies enforced by T.Dunning. Liam Neeson in Taken vibes - "I will look for you. I will find you, and I will kill you". Worth visiting for the sprawling selection of Tayto's (including pickled onion flavour "Mega Meanies") which we indulged in as the night drew to a close.
And with that Finchley sessions was complete. Some truly exceptional Irish boozers that were full of life. We're certain we'll be seeing a few of these at the end of 2024. Sláinte!
