We skipped the Three Compasses which had a full brass band performing and went for the Hornsey Tavern. To our suprise this was now the North 8 (N8) though retained an atmosphere we expected. A lot more social with 4 or 5 people interacting with us within a minute of being there. You could sense a change in tempo, with football on the screen and packets of taytos and pints adorning the table. Two pool tables and darts available too.
As we'd spent so long at the GNRT we couldn't stay for two and stretched our legs to The Tav a few doors down which unfortunately was not open. We peered through and gestured to a gent inside our desires for a drink though he dismissed us with a hand gesture. Devastating. We took a stroll to the other side of Hornsey toward Crouch End for our final pub of the night.
