Boys Ahoy! Sessions is back baby and this time we're up in Finchley. A quick 10 minute jaunt from Fichley Central past the luminous furniture stores and turkish restaurants that adorn the high street, was Annie's Freehouse.
We instantly felt at home here. After ordering our first pints, the barmaid offered to bring them over to our table to save the wait. Thank you kindly. The walls were filled with Irish trinkets and memorablia including most bizarrley some old post boxes. Brimming with character this place and the Guinness was exceptional - they also have their very own "Annie's Stout" but it was sadly off on this ocassion.
Got chatting to a bloke behind the bar (presumably the owner) who took a keen interest in our presence. Next thing we know, a full round 'on the house' - potentially a Sessions first! Whilst we don't generally encourage bribery, we couldn't refuse and ended up staying for another afterwards. Potentially longest stay at a first pub ever, so we quickly packed up our belongings and headed out into the crisp winter night in search of more booze...
#12 of 408 all-time · #2 of 42 in 2024. The black tick on each bar is the all-time average.
Gold 2024 · Christmas Special
Gold 2024

The winner this year, the stunning, Annies Freehouse in Finchley. No guiness shortage here and busy with xmas pub crawls. Our first pub of the day was the perfect opener. Honourable mentions to O'Briens in Ealing and The Crown in Limehouse who also rated highly.
Thats all for another year, we'll see you all in 2025 for more Pub Sessions! Merry Xmas all ❤️🎄
