Next up was the hidden gem that is the George IV. Googling this will lead you to believe this is the George Regency Hotel however it is also a pub with everything you need for an incredible evening.
Pool, Darts, Beer Garden and a well hosted bar. “Its a coach load” the locals jeered as we entered the small single door with smiles all round. Guiness was off and so was Strongbow so Kronenburg and Magners were the tipple of choice. Locals were coming in and out regularly and it was a lively atmosphere. A hatch on the otherside of the bar may acted as the hotel reception and one gentlemen was served a pint through there perhaps so he could drink it in his room.
Scampi fries and roasted peanuts helped the drinks go down and prices were again very satisfying.
Towels in the bathroom for hand drying which makes you feel at home.
Cracking places with again quite colourful east end characters.
