Now whilst we’re referring to this as Woolwich Sessions, the locals would likely spit on me for such treason as the Fox and Hounds seems associated with Plumstead. We’re chomping at the bit for a Plumstead sessions next time so this boozehole was a perfect introduction.
Crashing into locals as we bundled in the door, the place was alive. Light shining in and cold drinks quickly arrived. As it was Jamie’s birthday he got a Mann’s Brown Ale as a chaser. Nice 2.8% thirst quencher - Pint on offer for who can tell us where Mann’s was original brewed?
Jak was also celebrating his birthday which was the day after and the other fellas had clubbed together to get them both; birthday cards, a £5 scratchcard, a smirnoff ice and a cherry wine.
Thoroughly enjoyable and welcoming pub. As we left we noticed a poster for the Andy Fordham memorial. A local Woolwich hero who used to run the Queens Arms (sadly now closed) down the road.
