The final and 7th pub was the Angelsea Arms. Very welcoming. Eastern european huddle of men in one corner and we took over the pool/darts area. Pumping some Pub Sessions classics from the jukebox. The owner occasionally spins the wheel of fortune and a drink has its price dropped for a period of time - fantastic way to keep the locals on their toes. We were absolutely sauced by this point. Ran for the last DLR out of woolwich, though there are still at least 5 more boozers we didn’t manage to get to so I think we’ll be back. Woolwich is different. A timewarp that oozes history and forgotten times. We recommend a visit with friends to meet the community here. Friendly folk on the whole and an area that is likely to change a lot with the Elizabeth Line opening at some point.
