The Wheatsheaf was next on our trail, sitting just north of Stoke Newington Station off the main road. Busy with local faces and has escaped the gentrification a lot of Stoke Newington has succumbed too. They have installed plastic barriers at the bar, which all worked very well and the ladies running the show were very friendly and helpful. Cracking pub with taytos available. I once witnessed a fight between around 10 men halted immediately by the raised voice of the woman behind the bar. Get yourself down here.

Final stop of the night was the Wheatsheaf, who still have our lockdown picture as their profile pic on instagram. They’ve still managed to avoid gentrification. Compact and cosy pub, great to see it so busy on a Wednesday night, clearly with plenty of regulars. Based around a central bar with an archway splitting the two sides of the pub. Grey panelling and the patterned wallpaper made us feel right at home.
We pitched up by the pool table for a few games of killer and managed to watch the Benfica goalkeeper scoring against Real Madrid. Great start to 2026. No February sessions in London as we took a trip abroad to Valencia.
#136 of 408 all-time · #15 of 27 in 2026. The black tick on each bar is the all-time average.
