London Tavern

Next up a 5 minute walk from our first pub of the day was The London Tavern, Clapton. Very local affair with a 40th Birthday going on in and outside. They were at capacity for inside seating but there was space out the front. Locals were chatty and jumped in the picture outside. Lot of happy faces to be back in the pub.

Next up, The London Tavern. This was our second visit after July 2020, the first sessions post lockdown. Throwback to social distancing, signing in to pubs, lockdown beards and plenty of hand sanitiser.

Guinness ordered and we settled into a game of killer darts. The whole time we were playing, a bloke kept getting in front of the board trying to get the football on the tv. The mix of different boxes, hdmi cables, remotes and standing on chairs was eventually a success. About 20 minutes later the champions league end of group stage bonanza was on show.

Friendly staff and a local crowd keeping this pub going, long may it continue. Good set up of tables out the front of the pub, though not in January weather. The tayto selection deserves its own shout-out too, the crisp game here is extremely strong. A quick pit stop next door at Perfect Fried Chicken and we were on our way.
