The only pub we visited inside the Romford ring road was up next. As we arrived a crowd of locals, with a good variety of ages, settled down at the poker table for a game. We chatted with another group at the bar who recommended The Wheatsheaf. They confirmed the Prince Albert was closed and we discussed how many inner Romford pubs are a bit soulless, your Yates', Wetherspoons, etc. Very friendly lot in here and quite rare to see an actual poker table in the boozer. We enjoyed two rounds before heading on.
