One lassst timeeeee....before the xmas sessions next weekend. We did a mini sessions in Notting Hill - starting at the Pig and Whistle. The name alone is very alluring and we were not disappointed upon entering and seeing handwritten, illuminous card, cut in the shape of stars, displaying the cheap prices of shots and pints. A tell-tale sign you're in a good pub. Irish at heart and lots of odes to the homeland spotted on the walls. A lady arrived in a dressing gown for some evening drinks and locals chatted away as we watched Notts Forest against some dross euro mid tier team.
The pub is bang outside Latimer Road station and is one of the few normal pubs left in the area.
We did have the Maxilla Hall Social Club in our sights though on arrival it was booked out for a private funeral so we paid our respects and left. Another time as it looks cracking.
