Heading south we found Goldhawk Road and the glorious O’Donoghues. Recently refurbed in the right way and the new guvnor was behind the bar being very accomodating.
He’d had to choose between John Smiths and Marstons for a smooth on tap and went for the latter. It hadn’t been selling so he put the price down to clear it out and low behold its a bestseller.
We got some guinesses and a Marstons for the table. Thai chilli nuts accompanied the drinks and we were in heaven.
Young lad playing pool in the back with his dad - a homely and friendly place. We’d love to see it pumping on a Saturday evening.
