Ding, ding, the bell rings and its the final round.
Much like Ilford born Nigel Benn, got off his little stool and went through rounds and rounds of punishing bouts for the entertainment of his adoring fans, Pub Sessions go again for one last sessions of the year.
Replace the stool for an office chair, and the boxing bell ring for the sounds of the Elizabeth line train doors sliding open and we step out into Ilford town centre.
We started our adventure at Champs Sports Bar and Grill, previously an Irish pub called McGuire's, it was now covered in sporting pictures and trinkets, including one of our old mate Nigel Benn.
Only 5 attendees as Joe had gone to Australia, Cookie and Herring were too tired and Martin had concussion from a school kid kicking a ball at the back of his head (true story). Beggar’s belief.
Champs only had one other punter whilst we were there though the lady behind the bar was very accommodating and gladly lent us her phone charger.
Very little to say about Champs, good staff, clean, quiet. When we had all assembled we moved on, across the gyratory road system to the next pub.
