Afternoon pub slugs, this is from last month, a dip into Charlton. A hilly landscape faced us as we marched from Charlton station towards Charlton Village, we passed Andrews Hairdressers and the See You Soon Chinese on our journey before arriving at The Bugle Horn. Kenzie was sat in the garden with a solitary pint, arriving early for some downtime before the futilities commenced.
Immediately catching our eye were the clairvoyance nights, a permanent sign indicating this wasn't a once a year type occassion. The clientelle inside all aptly local, charlton types, some with football wears, most with hi viz, all very friendly. Amusing messages adorned the jukebox, custom added to the screensaver which was impressive commitment.
Great name and good size pub. I looked for Charlton born musical artists to adorn this post but couldn't find a single soul. The Charlton facebook group boasts Jimi Hendrix once lived in Hither Green, a mere 3 mile walk away. So here he is. Onward.
