We approached the Sportman’s with silent hope as it was unclear from its online presence wether it was still open. Thankfully it was and it had everything. This is what sessions is about. Lady behind the bar joined for the photo, alsatian in the back and a difficult to understand fella who either warned against or recommended the next pub Angies, we’re still unsure.
Lester Piggot illustrations on the wall next to the jukebox was a nice touch and the lady behind the bar provided table service for the second round.
Danny Tim O’Sullivan picture amortalising his freedom of London Town was an eyecatcher. PJ Murrihy wrote a song about his achievements in “Danny Tim - Freeman of London” (listen on youtube).
“Now Danny Tim has done it again, a good man won’t stay down, for now he has the freedom of the famous London town”.
Absolutely incredible place, our appetite was thoroughly whetted and I’m sure we’ll be back.

Gold 2021. Sportsman’s in Harlesden. Bizarrely it was very very quiet for a saturday night but we persevered and did shots whilst playing killer. A gent at the bar recalled stories of past times at the pub and the lady working was very accomodating. A true treasure, unspoilt and honest. 🇨🇮
