Onto The Hare, which was absolutely thumping, with strains of Saturday Night Fever blasting out of the speakers. Much like the title-chasing Man City team playing on the telly, the pub’s punters were highly-skilled with the perfect blend of youth and experience. The old boy near the back of the pub was adept at cutting in from wide areas to ignore the queue and demand his pint be instantly replenished. Meanwhile, the young lad sat at the bar sporting a fishnet top clearly wasn’t lacking in goal-scoring prowess as he regaled the barmaid with highlights of a recent conquest in Victoria Park.
Lots to love here: toilet doors doubling as an RFP; Glenmorangie special offer advertised above the urinals, and plenty of awards on the wall for their well-kept Guinness. In a moment of pure Partridge, our pub chat was interrupted by a phone call from Cookie’s hair clinic calling him for a routine check-up. Great after-care and they clearly know what they’re doing, so along with The Hare, that’s two establishments Sessions is happy to endorse in this post.
