Final establishment was The Dolphin at Kings Cross. It was pissing it down by this point and we were drenched by the time we arrived. Entering the Bar, we put some music on the jukebox and settled down in the corner of the lounge. Peruvian curries were on the go from a fella who was running up and down the stairs.
Joe did a football picture quiz and Kenzie and Jamie won, with the losers Ed and Herring doing shots. Nathan Ellington for West Brom and Per Frandsen for Bolton Wanderers were everyone’s downfall.
Everywhere was flooded as we left though we didn’t notice til we were up to our ankles in it. Kenzie was back at The Dolphin just 8 hours later and they were back open. Great place, decent food and you really felt at home.
Oddly lot of Newcastle United gear on the walls - though we didn’t meet any geordies.
