Second on the agenda, a brief 5 min walk away, next door to Enfield Lock station is The Railway Inn. Don’t be alarmed by its despondent exterior. The lights may look off but someone is likely home. Taking the side entrance to the pub you are greeted by a collection of elderly gents at the bar. As you enter further theres Spurs memorabilia on every wall. The garden has a wishing well, a pond with large goldfish and even an outdoor screen. Gravel has been glued to any flat surface available in the toilets to ward off drug use. We had a game of killer, Mert won which was odd and Jamie did a Rainbow Sour as punishment. Lovely local contigent in here, when one chap declared he was leaving the barmaid reminded him he still had a free Fosters on his tab so back down he sat to dutifully finish another pint. Really nice atmosphere with chatty locals. I imagine we will see this delight again.

Second place is the Railway Inn in Enfield. A fantastic local boozer with the main plaudits being its bartender (shown) and clientele. The woman behind the bar didn’t remember us however her dad who was playing pool recalled our visit. In the winter you cannot enjoy the garden, pond and TV as we did in the summer, however the people are still as nice. An incredible pub that serves its community well, even if they are #spurs.
