Skipping past the Green Rooms snooker hall ( to be saved for another day) and the Alfred Herring (shut but resurrecting under new management in December) we jumped over the north circular to the pumping Occasional Half. The sign and decor suggested old school boozer- but with more screens than most sports bars, we were suitably impressed. Prompt service, good pints and plenty of seats. We found ourselves content to bed in with a couple of shot quizzes before a snap decision to press ahead before closing hours.
