The Bee Gees, The Jonas Brothers, Alvin and The Chipmunks. What do they all have in common? They are all famous threesomes made up of blokes. For a myriad of different reasons, we were down to the bare bones for this edition of Sessions. Not for a decade had we had such a dire turnout. Undeterred, we embodied arguably Tottenham’s most famous threesome (Bale, Modric and van der vaart) and headed to the location of the newly crowned European champions to soak up the atmosphere.

Mannions has it all. Do you want mesmerising hand-painted artwork adorning the walls (including one of presumably the owner riding a horse into battle)? Check. Do you want a collection of illegible signs with unclear rules and regulations when using the pool table? Check. Do you want horse racing on the telly and Guinness for a fiver? Double check.

Seriously, can’t fault this place. Absolutely buzzing for a Wednesday afternoon with a proper mix of generations – from 18 to 80. Like it used to be. Cultural melting point. Locals and gentrifiers. All under one roof. Drinking booze. Pure bliss.
