Fantastic spot to finish. Interesting point to note here in Session’s lore was that Jaimo had one of his kids gender reveal parties at this very venue! Incredibly reasonable prices and cracking spread apparently if you’re interested in enquiring.

The Volunteer has retained its charm over the years and feels like a step back into another/better world. A wonderful u-shaped bar. Semi-industrial bright blue doors to the toilets. Beautiful pile of crap outside the toilet. 

Must also be known as a boxing pub as loads of memorabilia on the walls – a Carl Froch signed glove most notably. We sat and watched the Women’s golf whilst chatting about we didn’t need the other guys and whether we should create a splinter group of 3 to go it alone.

Kenzie had to run off to make his last train but Jak heroically stayed for final pint and picture with Glendo before charging off themselves into the dying light…
