As we wandered towards town, murmurs of getting some food were quickly abandoned when we chanced upon The Bricklayers Arms, in full swing with a live band doing covers. The lead singer quickly asked for requests and got various Oasis songs thrown at them given recent chat. They obliged with a well intended Live Forever, few groups of families covering three generations were in attendance and we enjoyed a pint and the music huddled at the bar. Great place with pumping mid week atmosphere.
A third lad took to the stage on what we inital thought was a Dube, Dion Dublin's musical instrument but it turned out to just be a wooden box he beat with his palm. That got us on to the Dube and if anyone can source one we are interested in purchasing. From a scout of the internet they are like gold dust nowadays.
