Pub 6. The Victoria and probably the best pub we visited. Previously The Sun, an old coaching inn built in 1736. The sights and sounds this place has seen through the centuries is fascinating, the rich history and culture of yester year in Great Britain. The Highwaymen, the malt traders and the infamous, Anthony James who in 2008 created “Jungle Juice”. There were nervous rumours last night that they had run out of a key ingredient, Blue WKD, though the barkeep returned with a pint of Jungle Juice to the joy of everyone on the table.
Incredible place, full of life and very down to earth.
