Stop 3 along the Barking Road was The Abbey Arms. A notably large pub to have kept its tradition which anywhere else would be selling pale ale by now.

Ding dong, erection party, its pub sessions and we're back in the idyllic Canning Town. After getting off the DLR in Custom House and strolling up Freemasons Road, there to reward us was the mighty Abbey Arms. Kenzie and Jamie arrived first and enjoyed a mosey around the pub, taking in the Abbey Darts surround and killer pool scoreboard with Brucie Bad Boy and Big Rob in attendance. We got a seat in the corner of the pub and were joined by a few of the others who recanted their weekend golf trip.
We first visited in 2018 and the place was much the same, good amount of locals, large pub and lots going on, DJs, music and events a plenty. Irons pub as one would expect and good selection of beers. We had some more pubs to visit so made our excuses and jumped out onto Barking Road as the October sun went down.
