We settled for The Drum, a Wetherspoons pub on Lea Bridge Road. This was one of those rogue wetherspoons that hadn’t lost its character. Locals ordering trays of shots, alcoholics talking to themselves in the corner and us soaking it all in. It seemed quite lawless though still provided the generic wetherspoons food at 10.30pm.
Cookie had to leave early to get the train home to Herts which turned out to be a replacement bus service, Unluuuuuccckkky!
