On the way to the Royal Standard at Colliers Wood we nipped in for a quick pint at the Charles Holden. Massive beer garden and impressive frontage but very generic other than that. Friendly and good barstaff made the app table service experience slightly better.
Charles Holden was a Bolton born architect best known for designing many London underground stations.
Unfortunately our planned destination - the Royal Standard two doors down, was closed, much to the annoyance of us and the fella from the Kilkenny Tavern (pictured) who had followed us down there for a pint. Dismayed as we were we cracked on at the Charles Holden until close 🍻
