Ponders End Working Mens was next on the list, however unfortunately, though we had managed to worm our way inside and to the bar, the barmaid wouldn’t serve non members. Massive shame as the place was buzzing and had all sorts of games going off. We weren’t aggrieved though as just down the road was The Picture Palace. On we trotted.
