What a pub! The historic local photographs etched on to the tiling around the bar, the brass plaque displaying the local Taxi numbers and ornate well decorated windows. The Carpenters Arms nestled below a tower block had a good group of locals kaggled around one side of the bar. Cash only. Great barmaid. Really, really enjoyable. Dimmed lighting which takes you to another world. Something tells me we’ll see this hostelry again.

Second place. The Carpenters Arms. An incredible place. Can’t put into words the community here. Visit and you will meet ‘em. A weekend is preferable. Great music, great clientele, great staff. We want to live here. ❤️
